A Pastoral Council is called to be a Christian community. It is a sign and witness of the fidelity of the church to its mission. The Council and Pastor together make major decisions for the good of the parish and lead it in its journey of faith. The members are representative of the total parish.
The basic characteristic of leadership in a Christian community is service. To serve the community of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Council will endeavor, through participation and example, to empower parishioners to help each other grow spiritually, provide support for those in need, and assume responsibilities for the total stewardship of the parish.
The Pastoral Council is composed of the Parish Clergy, the Chairpersons of each Parish Commission and two at-large members appointed by the Pastor. Meetings are usually held at 5:30 PM on the third Tuesday of the following months: January, March, May, July, September and November. Please consult the parish calendar and bulletin for scheduling changes.
